        Sing-a-Long *Fun* Therapy

One of the most enjoyable and least boring ways to practice your
NEW VOICE SKILLS... is to Sing-a-Long to MUSIC!
The tempo keeps you always moving forward and the "SINGING" will help add greatly to your RANGE and ARTICULATION... I know this sounds almost too good to be true... but I discovered this *FUN* Therapy during my very first Voice Institute in Daytona Beach, during the Sing-a-Long... Even though at that time less than a third of the words came out... because of the SINGING aspect... I just kept moving right along to the music and did not get frustrated over those words I couldn't "say"... and therefore, doubly enjoyed the ones I could!
I was trying to learn esophageal at the time, but speaking mostly with an A/L... I have since become a TEP user, so I've experienced this kind of "NEW" VOICE THERAPY with all three major voice restoration techniques... AND IT WORKS!!!
Don't let yourself get frustrated trying, for you will find the more you practice each song the more words you will be able to sing... This will definitely improve your BREATHING and PHRASING along with your VOICING, and will add to your vocal RANGE & TONE and even improve your ARTICULATION!
Besides, what could be more fun than SINGING??? Since you're at your computer and maybe alone, just log on to one of the LINKS below where they have all manner of Midi Files for the Music and each page displays the Lyrics as well! This is one way you can work on your new voice... PRACTICE - PRACTICE - PRACTICE, while still having some FUN and avoiding the tedium and frustration of numbers and syllables and senseless words... I've included the words to "Singing in the Rain" below just to get you started with the background melody... but you'll find every song imaginable on these links, so give it a TRY!

I'm singing in the rain,
Just sing-ing in the rain,
What a glorious feeling
I'm happy again!
I'm laughing at clouds, So dark up above
The sun's in my heart, And I'm ready for love...

Let the stormy clouds chase,
Everyone from the place...
Come on with the rain, I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane, With a hap-py refrain
I'm singin' - just singin' in the rain...

Why am I smilin' - and why do I sing?
Why does each day seem sunny as spring?
Why do I get up, each morning to start
Happy to get up, with joy in my heart?
Why is each new task, a trifle to do?
Because I am living, a life full of you

I'm singing in the rain,
Just sing-ing in the rain,
What a glorious feeling
I'm happy again!
I'm laughing at clouds, So dark up above
The sun's in my heart, And I'm ready for love...

Let the stormy clouds chase,
Everyone from the place...
Come on with the rain, I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane, With a hap-py refrain
I'm singin' - just singin' in the rain...

Hope you enjoy this "Voice Therapy"
